How to choose the right size of moss art

A calm room begins with the right proportion. Use the wall, furniture and viewing distance to find it.

Large preserved moss wall art arranged in a contemporary interior

Moss art should feel connected to the architecture rather than added after it. The best size is rarely chosen in isolation: it is read against the wall, the furniture beneath it and the distance from which the piece is seen.

Begin with the furniture line

Above a sofa, console or bed, a composition usually feels balanced when it occupies roughly two-thirds of the furniture width. Leave enough air around the frame so the natural texture remains the focus.

Measure before choosing a set

Mark the outer dimensions with removable tape and view them from the doorway and the main seat. For a large empty wall, several coordinated pieces often create better rhythm than one undersized frame.
